The Initiative

Transformational Research in Adolescent Mental Health (TRAM) is a unique initiative that aims to catalyze fundamental change in Canadian youth mental health care in five years.  TRAM is in the process of selecting one pan-Canadian network that unites patients, family representatives, policy makers, service providers and community organizations.

The Network

The Network is set to be a key driver of change.  One network will be selected to receive funding based on the quality and feasibility of their proposal to TRAM.  In five years, the Network will implement new, proven approaches to identify youth who are in need of services and provide them with quality, timely and appropriate care.

The Partners

The Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and the Graham Boeckh Foundation (GBF) have jointly launched TRAM.  Through this unique transformative research initiative, they aim to improve the care provided to young Canadians with mental illness.

Selection Panel

The TRAM Selection Panel is working with applicants to help build stronger network proposals, and will select the successful network to monitor and mentor post-award.  The panel brings together representatives with diverse and complimentary perspectives and experiences of mental health.
